Sometimes you just have to lean into the chaos. In this episode, Shea and Mary react to this week’s selected chapters live, the challenges of life proving too difficult to do the proper prep work. Thankfully, memories (drunken or not) of past readings and watchings return as they dive into Part 3 of the UA Sports Festival, featuring Uraraka’s one cool moment, the mind transfer jutsu from Naruto, trying to figure out Horikoshi as a person, and bulbasaur vs. pikachu.

The Sports Festival continues as the UA first years head straight into the high-stakes cavalry battle! The kids manage to put together good teams and come up with actually decent strategy, but what could be a fun time overall is soured by Mineta’s antics, Endeavor’s horrible personality, and All Might’s manipulative “pep talks.” Featured in this episode is Mary googling how many volts it takes to kill someone, Shea promising to master auctioneer speech, and trying as usual to figure out how Horikoshi was allowed to write women.

In a school where members of the press are allowed to assault students and emergency drills don’t exist, young teenagers are forced to fight for their lives against invading villains. Why the school wasn’t shutdown when they suspected villains invaded? Who knows! Why did all the students panic at the first sign of danger at a school for heroes? Who knows! Why is Mineta allowed to exist? Who knows!!!

We’re entering My Hero Academia’s third arc, the Battle Trial Arc! Listen in horror as we experience awful costume designs by edgy teens, let high schoolers almost kill each other, and discuss our OCs.
